How is this different from running Cursor, Crew, or a custom agent stack?
Cursor is a coding tool. Crew is an agent runtime. A custom stack is twenty weekends of glue code. Starport is the workspace those things live inside: the dock, the receipts, the customer-facing surface, the share links, the pricing. You can still bring your own model and your own agents. You just stop building the workspace.
Can I really build my own apps and bring my own models?
Yes. Apps ship as UI plans you can author by hand, generate, or pull from the marketplace. Models plug in by config: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or your own self-hosted endpoint. Your skills, your flows, your wallpaper.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You export everything: receipts, tasks, contacts, files, themes, custom apps. Open formats (JSON, Markdown, CSV) on the way out, not a proprietary archive. Your workspace is yours.
Can I share work with my team or freelancers?
Yes. Share an agent, a task, a Pack, or a single receipt with one link. Scope it to a teammate, a freelancer, your customer, or public. Every shared object keeps its own receipt trail.
Where does my data live?
Edge on Cloudflare today. Stateful workloads moving to dedicated hardware in Helsinki for general availability, with hot failover. Encrypted at rest and in transit. Tenant-isolated. SOC 2 Type II readiness has started; we will publish the auditor the day we sign with them. ISO 27001 in progress, targeted Q3 2026. Dedicated US and EU regions are on the roadmap. We do not train models on your data. Ever.
Is this a one-person stack, or does it scale to a team?
